The helpfulness of Lynn the manager before we had arrived was great, with clear and precise instructions on how to find the property. Inside, the decor is lavish and comfortable, with quality bedding, towels, robe and slippers. There's an information folder with lots of useful information and tea and coffee making facilities that are refilled daily. Breakfast is served in your room with a wide selection of tasty food. Other thoughtful extras include homemade muffins, sweets, beer and water in the fridge, a takeaway basket with plates, cutlery and menus, a shared midnight snack and a birthday prosecco on ice with balloons. Relax in the huge 4 poster bed, watch the sunset across the bay from the veranda, and soak in the large bath in the bay window while looking out at the twinkling lights. Friendly staff are full of smiles and very helpful. Stay at Bay Villa and feel like a king or queen for the day.

Denehurst Guest House is a traditional Lakeland stone house built in 1898, located just a 20 minute walk from Bowness Bay. It offers free WiFi, parking and an award-winning breakfast menu featuring Cumbrian produce. Upon arrival, our hosts Ken & Cindy gave us a warm welcome and guided us through the house, whilst adhering to current COVID-19 guidelines. Our room on the top floor was warm, spotless and tastefully decorated, with plenty of storage and a large window for natural light. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were provided, with fresh milk available on request. The en-suite was sparkling clean and the water was hot. Free WiFi was easy to connect to with no drop-outs or weak signal. Breakfast was booked via text with two timed slots to aid with social distancing. We had a fantastic choice of traditional English, fresh fruit, cereal, toast and more, with various fruit juices and hot drinks. Parking is on the street and unrestricted. Ken and Cindy have created a relaxed, informal and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a stay in the Lake District. We highly recommend Denehurst for a perfect stay in the Lakes.
