The Manor House Hotel is set in the peaceful countryside of Alsager, just 10 km from Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe. It offers a host of amenities such as a heated indoor pool and free WiFi throughout. Our recent stay was a memorable one - the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was a nice compact size. The newly renovated pool and spa area looked great and the changing rooms were spacious and luxurious. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant and a tasty breakfast the following morning. All in all, this was an excellent stay and we would definitely recommend it. Thanks to the staff for their attentiveness and helpfulness.
Crewe Hall is a Grade I-listed 17th-century building set in stunning grounds in the heart of Cheshire countryside. With a combination of historic Jacobean and modern architecture, it sports a leisure club with a spa, and is just 3 miles from Crewe Station and 10 minutes from Junction 16 of the M6. Our stay was great, with a huge bed, clean bathroom and all the amenities you expect from a good hotel. Food and service in the restaurant was excellent, though cocktails were limited. The pool was great, with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, plus a well-equipped gym. The grounds are beautiful and the Hall itself a National Trust-worthy experience. We had a wonderful stay, and recommend others to do the same.

Nestled in the picturesque Cheshire countryside, The Macdonald Portal Hotel offers a luxurious escape. With three golf courses, an indoor pool, spa and award-winning restaurant, you can relax and unwind in style. Unfortunately, some guests have had a less than satisfactory experience when checking out and when using the spa/gym facilities. However, breakfast is reported to be good and the bedrooms are comfortable, with the exception of the lack of a travel cot mattress and fridge in some rooms. Though the food in the restaurant has been met with mixed reviews, it is worth noting that due to the current climate, some facilities may be closed.
Mottram Hall is a stunning Georgian country house set in 270 acres of Cheshire parkland. With a spa, leisure facilities and two restaurants, it is a perfect retreat for those looking to relax and unwind. 5 miles from Manchester Airport, it also boasts an 18-hole championship golf course. The spa is a highlight, although lockers don't work very well and there are sometimes dirty towels. Rooms are comfortable but the hotel is expensive for what it is. Service is polite but slow, and the food is good but with some disappointments. A two night stay for two people costs £500, but the overall experience does not match the price tag.

Guests have praised the excellent breakfast, bar area, and cellar. Peckforton Castle is the perfect escape for a tranquil getaway.

This hotel is a great find, just 30 minutes’ drive from Manchester, nestled in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, next to the River Dean. It boasts free Wi-Fi throughout and free parking on site. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are spotlessly clean and well-equipped with good facilities, and the food and service are excellent. The barman went the extra mile to help the elderly guests, and the entire team are outstanding. The setting is idyllic, with lots of countryside and no noise from the road. A great choice for a relaxed stay in the countryside.

Shrigley Hall Hotel is an impressive manor house in leafy Cheshire countryside dating back to 1825 and set in 262 acres of spectacular countryside. While the room was only ok, with tired facilities and a frustrating extra charge to use the spa, the hotel offers a memorable setting for a special event. Unfortunately, upon arrival there was no power, and the food was disappointing with a long wait for the main course. The spa was a let down with the pool heating and outdoor lights turned off, with no alternative given. Our stay was below expectations, and we were left feeling really upset with the overall service.
The Park Royal is a great place to stay for a weekend or longer break. Set in Stretton, close to the M56 Motorway and within 40 minutes' drive of the cities of Chester and Liverpool, it features a health club and 3 floodlit tennis courts. With bright and comfortable rooms, it's a great place to relax and explore the region. The hotel is well managed, with plenty of staff on hand to deal with all guest requirements, and great on-site facilities including free parking. The food in the restaurant and at functions is of a good quality. Despite the current challenging environment, it is a great place to stay and you can be sure of a safe, comfortable stay.
