Facilities are well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful, though some attention to detail is required. The apartments provide everything guests need and the location is great - 5 minutes by car, 15 minutes by bike or 30 minutes by foot to Byron centre.

Peppers Salt Resort & Spa is a luxurious beachside resort situated on Kingscliff’s stunning Ocean Beach. It features tennis courts, a tropical swimming pool and a large lagoon pool, as well as a Poolside bar, a Reception staff friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and on-site parking. Our room was small yet comfortable, with a king-sized bed, a recliner sofa and chairs, a sliding door to separate the bedroom from the lounge, and double roll-down blinds for privacy. The Spa was excellent and the balcony spacious. With a variety of restaurants and convenience stores in close proximity, we had plenty of options for breakfast and dinner. Despite some restrictions, the hotel has taken all necessary precautions to ensure a safe stay. Unfortunately, the bed was a bit squeaky and there was no pay TV. Difficult to find at first, some restaurants were closed on Monday. Our car was covered in bird poop from the secure basement area. But the bar area restaurant opened on Tuesday evening and was very good. Peppers Salt Resort & Spa is a great place for a relaxing holiday.

Despite the reviews, guests have enjoyed late check in at last minute notice, and a refund for overcharging. However, guests have found the apartment was not cleaned properly and found toilet paper and a condom under their children's bed, empty bottles and plastic, and the walls were grotty, while the spa had broken boards around the outside. Foxtel also did not work. Guests did not receive notification that the cleaners had finished, and were overcharged for parking. Reception could use some additional computers and staff.

Scotland Island Lodge is the perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Located a 10-minute ferry ride away from Church Point at Pittwater, it is just an hour's drive from the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. Our stay was absolutely perfect. The room with the little deck and spa was comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Rosemary and Colin, the hosts, were very welcoming and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable. They provided thoughtful touches such as chocolates in the room, beach towels, and plates and cutlery for a picnic lunch. They served a delicious three-course dinner and a range of breakfast options. There's no restaurant or pubs on the island but the waterfront café at Church Point has a great view and good food. If you're looking for a romantic weekend or just a place to relax and enjoy the fresh air, Scotland Island Lodge is the perfect place.

The Murray River Resort is a truly unique experience for all types of travellers. With award-winning 18-hole championship golf courses, 2 dining options, a gym, an outdoor pool and spa, and rooms with separate lounges, kitchens and bathrooms, it's the perfect place to relax. Guests can even sign up for a year-long membership, giving them discounts on food and drink. However, the resort is not the ideal place for couples, as there are often small kids running around. If you stay at the resort, expect to be surrounded by the sound of kids at 6 am, and watch out for kids on scooters. Despite this, the service is excellent, the food is of high quality, and the golf course is in perfect condition. It is a great place to stay, and a place you won't forget in a hurry.

The Crowne Plaza Terrigal offers luxury oceanfront accommodation, with modern and refurbished rooms including LCD TVs and Chromecast, air-conditioning, heating, ergonomic work spaces and en suite bathrooms. Enjoy a variety of dining options, a fitness centre, outdoor pool, and day spa. Our reception staff were outstanding, however the breakfast staff, food and service left much to be desired. Our room had a great view and the live music downstairs gave a real holiday vibe. The pool was advertised as heated, but was either broken or not working. Room cleaning was quite slow, but the staff were friendly. The pillows were not great and the bed was a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast was too big, with no option to have a half-size. The older lady working at the front desk was very capable and friendly, but it was the younger girl who was handling the checkout. Overall, we had a good stay, but it could have been better.
