Burbury Hotel is in a great location situated within the Parliamentary Triangle of Canberra. It offers a 24-hour front desk, free WiFi, and a fitness center. The hotel offers 2-bedroom apartments, recently renovated with firm beds. However, some noise from the bar and cleaning staff may be heard. While this hotel is a great option for its convenient location, guests should be aware of the noise levels and be ready for an inconsistent customer service experience.
Brassey of Canberra is a 1920s-style hotel set on 25 acres of manicured gardens and lawns, just 5 minutes' drive from the Parliament of Australia and Capital Circle. Our room was spacious, with a super comfy bed and a small bar fridge. The wifi was good, and complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate were available in the reception area. The hotel also offered a microwave, a selection of snacks and a sandwich press. Close to Old Government House, High Court, National Gallery and Portrait Gallery, Manuka and Kingston Foreshore, and Lake Burley Griffin, Brassey of Canberra is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. On arrival, the staff greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome, and even left us a bottle of wine for my birthday. Everything was great - the location was quick to local attractions and a cafe nearby for breakfast. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely rebook Brassey next time we're in Canberra.
