Stay at the rolling hills of Galena and experience a truly Irish atmosphere! This hotel is situated on 20 acres and features an on-site spa, restaurant, and pub. Each guest suite is equipped with two flat-screen cable TVs and other amenities for your comfort. The Galena city center is only 1 mile away. Our second time here was even better than the first. We appreciated the Irish touches all around the hotel and especially the cozy library. The attached pub was especially convenient on a cold winter night and the buffet-style breakfast was ample and delicious. The staff were all very helpful and hospitable, and they upgraded our room to a suite on the house for our 5th anniversary. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi in the room and the view of rolling hills and a farm. There is plenty to do nearby, such as hiking and biking, and the Galena River Bike Trail is highly recommended. Unfortunately, we were charged a “mandatory” fee for services we were not planning on taking advantage of, as well as an additional 20% hold on our charge card without prior notice. Despite this, we still had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel!

Quality Inn is conveniently located 1 mile from downtown Sycamore and offers easy access to Midwest Museum of Natural History, Stage Coach Theatre, and Kishwaukee College. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious. The pool was a great way to relax, although it was a bit chilly for the older generation. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning works well. They also allowed us to bring our service dog, which was much appreciated. Unfortunately, the entire building smelled of marijuana and the room was a bit dirty. Other than that, everything was great and the staff was very helpful. Whether you’re passing through or staying for a while, Quality Inn is a great place to stay.
