However, upon arrival, the desk clerk was not friendly and the room was not as expected. The floor was uneven, the bathroom door difficult to open, and the beds were not two queens as advertised. Breakfast was not up to par due to Covid, with only 'breakfast in a bag' provided. Although the manager has yet to contact us, we hope to receive a response to our experience while at Country Inn & Suites Petersburg.

This Holiday Inn in Ashland is off the Interstate 95 and just a 10-minute drive from Kings Dominion Amusement Park. It offers spacious guestrooms with free Wi-Fi, an indoor pool, and a complimentary breakfast. The staff are friendly and accommodating and make you feel welcomed. While the woman at the front desk needs to be trained in hospitality, the wonderful lady in charge of breakfast was as nice as she could be and everything was hot and fresh. This is a great choice for a stop, shower, eat, sleep and go type of traveler. It's close to the events you're attending, super clean, and has the best breakfast. Keep in mind there was garbage in the lobby on the floor when we checked in and it was still there the next morning. Additionally, when we checked in the beginning of July, the room wasn't made up. But overall, we would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is impeccably clean, with no cockroaches, bed bugs, ants, or other pests. The outside grounds are also well maintained and provide a great area for taking a morning walk. Attractions such as Busch Gardens, Jamestown, Yorktown, and Williamsburg Historic are all within easy driving distance. However, the front doors don't close all the way, allowing cigarette smoke to enter the hallways and rooms, and the staff don't accommodate late check-in times. For a comfortable stay in the heart of Hampton Roads, Sleep Inn & Suites is a great option.

This hotel is conveniently located 8 miles outside of Richmond, Virginia. It offers free Wi-Fi and a grab and go breakfast for a fair rate. The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is a short 2 miles away. The woman who checked us in was very accommodating. There is a minimal continental breakfast and a gas station next door for snacks. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. Unfortunately, there was no coffee when we arrived, and no breakfast was offered on the main floor when we checked out. The price was one of the cheaper options in the area, and it was easy to check in and out. Overall, it was a good stay, but be aware that they do not provide breakfast as advertised. Wi-Fi also was unreliable at times. It's a great stop for a night on a budget, but bring your own breakfast and towels.
