Avista Resort in North Myrtle Beach is the perfect family-friendly destination! Enjoy two outdoor pools, a lazy river, and two hot tubs. Our friendly staff are dedicated to making your stay as comfortable as possible. Upon check-in, Bryan was helpful in unloading our car and bringing the cart up to our room. Our check-in experience was made even more pleasant by Rachel's hospitality. We were even provided extra sheets when we mentioned our four year old son, Isaiah, was not potty trained. Brianna helped us order pizza from the restaurant, and the food was delicious! Our room had a stunning view of the beachfront. We are now planning to make Avista our new Myrtle Beach vacation spot! Just make sure to check for bed bugs if you stay here!

This hotel in Columbia, SC is a great choice for an affordable and comfortable stay. The rooms are a bit dated but still comfortable and feature amenities like free WiFi and an indoor swimming pool. The hallways are quiet and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is sufficient and the front desk clerk, Miss McCormick, is a real gem with her keen awareness and gentle touch. However, some rooms may be damaged from the floods in Columbia, so make sure to check before paying!

Fort Mill - South Carolina

Best Western Carowinds offers comfortable, clean accommodations near Fort Mill, South Carolina and Carowinds amusement park. All guest rooms feature cable TV with HBO, and the hotel offers an outdoor pool for guests to enjoy. Unfortunately, we had an issue with bed bugs in our room, so we had to leave early. We have requested a refund for the night we did not stay, however the front desk staff is not authorized to process refunds and the manager is unreachable. Other issues included a smelly bathroom, a non-smoking room with strong cigarette smell and stained sheets, an alarm that went off and a rude receptionist. Despite these issues, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the housekeeping came daily. The location was great, with a variety of restaurants, gas stations and the amusement park nearby.

Myrtle Beach resort offers a great beachfront experience with plenty of amenities for both adults and children. Enjoy the ocean views, multiple pools, lazy river, and restaurant. The SkyWheel Ferris wheel is just a short 5-minute drive away. Despite the great location and attractions, the facility is poorly managed and maintained, as evidenced by the smelly room, missing remote, broken toilet, and non-working hot tub jets. The restaurant staff was unresponsive and the additional parking fee was unexpected. However, there are some positives, including fun waterslides, food/drink options, and an arcade and fitness center. The rooms are outdated and the elevators and parking lot are cramped and dirty. Overall, the property has a lot to offer but the price point may not be worth the value.
