Country Inn & Suites Petersburg is a great place to stay when in the Petersburg area. Enjoy an indoor pool, fitness centre, and free WiFi access. Despite a lightning strike taking out the elevator, they handled the reservations well and offered no charges. Desk clerks at check-in were not friendly and sent guests to the wrong room. People were trying to open the door at 2AM, and housekeeping was knocking on the door at 9:15AM despite the Do Not Disturb sign. The floor of the room wasn't level, and the door to the bathroom was difficult to open and close. The room came with two twin beds instead of two queens. Due to COVID, breakfast was a breakfast in a bag, and other amenities such as the pool and fitness centre were closed. Check out was at 11:00AM and the manager will follow up with guests after their stay.
