Mitchell Hall is a wonderful spot to stay, located just a 5-minute drive from the village of Cranfield and the M1 motorway. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi, free parking, and a full English breakfast. The building is set within the grounds of Cranfield University and features attractive artwork and plants in the spacious lobby areas. All rooms are very clean, warm, quiet and comfortable, with a good desk, plenty of plugs, TV, hairdryer, kettle, tea/coffee/biscuits, and a bedside radio. The bathroom is clean and the shower is powerful. With a proper key lock and door chain, guests can feel secure. There is a Co-op Food store nearby, a bus stop with regular buses to Milton Keynes and Bedford, and a convenience store just two minutes away. The staff are polite, competent, and the hotel offers fantastic value. Enjoy the quiet, scenic surroundings and all the amenities of Cranfield University.

The Swan Hotel, Bedford is located in the heart of the city overlooking the Great Ouse River. With Bedford Rail Station only 1 mile away, it's the perfect place to stay for an easy commute to London. The hotel offers a range of amenities, including a family-friendly restaurant, a large room with comfortable beds, and a spacious shower. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the receptionist was particularly accommodating when helping me with the buggy on check-out. Unfortunately, my experience with the hotel wasn't entirely positive, as the manager treated me with disdain and failed to honour my reservation. However, I had a much better experience at the Mercure Hotel nearby, which was extremely clean and had excellent service. Overall, the Swan Hotel is a great choice for families and offers excellent amenities. Unfortunately, it may be wise to double check your reservation to avoid any disappointments.
