Accommodation includes standard and superior rooms, some with stunning views of the grounds. The staff are polite, friendly, and helpful. Guests can enjoy a variety of facilities, such as a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym. Evening entertainment includes Charlie's Bar where guests can sample delicious food and drinks. The hotel also offers room service with a selection of dishes. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for a picturesque stroll. Unfortunately, some rooms may be too hot and noisy, and guests may need to be aware that some amenities may not be available depending on what is being hosted at the hotel. Despite this, Waterton Park Hotel is a great place to stay and relax.

The house is new, clean, and spacious, with two ensuite bathrooms, a Juliet balcony, and all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. Breakfast provisions are included, such as croissants, orange juice, cereal, and other items for a continental breakfast. It's also well stocked with shampoo and kitchen items. It's a great location, quiet and peaceful, yet close to the hustle and bustle of city life. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Covid-19 regulations mean that dinner is not currently served, but the pub down the road is an excellent alternative.

During your stay, you will have the opportunity to experience the hotel’s impressive spa facilities, enjoy a delicious meal in the Grill on the Hill restaurant, and relax with a drink in the bar. Although we encountered a few issues during our stay, including a dirty towel, a small and basic bathroom, and restrictions on the spa facilities due to social distancing, the staff were accommodating and the food was excellent. We highly recommend a stay at Hollins Hall, as it offers a peaceful retreat in a stunning rural location.

Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is a stunning 18th-century mansion providing award-winning cuisine and an array of activities. Enjoy a 27-hole championship golf complex, a spa, free WiFi and free parking. Leeds Train Station is 5 miles away. Our recent stay at Oulton Hall was truly a memorable one! With an idyllic countryside setting and a historic building, we felt like we were living in luxury. Our room was comfortable, spotless and spacious. We made the most of the indoor pool, jet-pool and steam-room, as well as taking peaceful walks with our dogs around the wooded perimeter of the grounds. The breakfast was excellent and delicious, with something for everyone. The staff were friendly, kind and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. We highly recommend Oulton Hall for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

This 4-star hotel in the heart of Yorkshire offers free Wi-Fi and free parking, only 15 minutes from Historic York. Enjoy a luxurious stay with a King size bed in the Bronte suite, and a lovely big bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. Although the reception area smells of cooking and the breakfast room can be quite smelly, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is well worth the visit. However, the pillows are very hard and the bed is not true king size, so bear this in mind when booking. All in all, this hotel offers a great stay in a convenient location.

Best Western Plus Ilkley Craiglands Hotel & Spa

Ilkley - West Yorkshire

Craiglands Hotel is an ivy-covered hotel set in mature, landscaped grounds, just a 5-minute walk from Ilkley town centre. Free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking are available. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the carpark was reserved for a wedding and we had to park elsewhere. The staff were stressed, but we managed to make a dinner reservation. The rooms were interesting and clean, but the floorboards were noisy and the beds were too soft. The dinner was terrible and the waiting staff were unhelpful. However, the breakfast was good, with lots of options. The beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a lovely setting, with a magnificent Gothic Victorian building, and it is clear that they are trying hard to bring it up to a higher standard. The spa could be more affordable at £25 a day. Overall, it was an ok stay.
