Located at the gateway to the Cotswolds, Oxford, Bath and other attractions, this 4-star hotel is surrounded by lush woodlands on the edge of Swindon’s historic Old Town. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the hotel is easy to access from the M4. Amenities include a gym, a pool that needs to be booked in advance, and tennis courts. Rooms are well appointed, though some guests may find the lack of an openable window a downside. Restaurant food is of poor quality and overpriced, and service is not always up to standard; it is recommended to book in advance. The hotel is convenient, with ample free parking available, however some areas could benefit from more attention to detail and cleanliness.

Rooms are comfortable, clean and well-equipped, and the breakfast buffet is tasty and the staff attentive. Unfortunately, some guests have found the front desk staff unhelpful and the restaurant has an early cut-off time for meals. Overall, this is a great place to stay and explore the area.
Cricklade House Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western is a country hotel set in 30 acres of secluded grounds on the edge of the Cotswolds. Guests can enjoy the hotel's golf course and leisure centre, as well as home-cooked food. Unfortunately, the hotel rooms have been reported as being of a poor quality, with cobwebs, limescale and a damp smell. The pillows are uncomfortable, and guests have been charged extra for the swimming pool, as well as for tonic water. The breakfast portions are small, and the reception staff are inexperienced. Although the grounds are nice, it may be best to look elsewhere for a better stay.
