The garden was a delight to behold and the views of the hills were stunning. We enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast each morning, and our hosts were more than happy to offer advice on things to do and places to eat locally. Melrose Abbey is just 5km away, making it the perfect base for exploring the Border Abbeys. We had a wonderful stay at Broomfields Country House and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

St Ola is an excellent B&B located a 15-minute walk from Jedburgh. Our room was spacious and tastefully furnished, with pure cotton covers and a feather duvet, and blackout blinds. The en-suite shower and toilet was luxurious and the largest we’ve ever enjoyed. We were the only guests and had the hosts' full attention. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with special requests cheerfully catered for. Jill is also a qualified hairdresser and offered her professional services. The room was equipped with the latest mod cons and luxury toiletries. Parking is available at the rear of the property. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was very personal and delicious. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful countryside setting.

The location is brilliant close to the centre of Peebles offering shops, bars and restaurants, walking in the surrounding hills and easy access to the town, river walks, supermarkets and Neidpath Castle. The flat is well equipped and clean, with a superb shower and tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. It is a 10 minute walk from the main street, great for an evening meal, and close to the Glentress bike trail centre. On street parking is readily available in the quite neighbourhood. Everything needed for a comfortable stay is provided and the host gives great recommendations for places to eat. The bathroom needs a blind, but the reflective film fitted to the glass works during the day. A great find and a perfect place to stay in Peebles.

There's a short distance to carry luggage from the car to the apartment and parking is a bit awkward. The only downside is that a bread knife was missing. But despite this, it's an ideal spot for a quiet holiday or a running event, with plenty of space and great views.
