As well as the great local restaurants and shops, there are plenty of walking and running routes from the B&B, as well as directly from the gardens. Corner Beech House is an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway. Located in Grange Over Sands, the property offers free WiFi and private parking in an allergy-free environment. Our room was spacious and immaculate, complete with complimentary teas, coffees and hot chocolate, biscuits and a comfortable bed. The room was also very quiet, despite being a full house during our stay. Breakfasts were outstanding, prepared by the talented chef Peter, with a range of options from a traditional Full English to something more adventurous. Karen and Peter are wonderful hosts, giving all their guests time and advice on the best places to visit in the area. You can even take a short walk to the sands, promenade and town. We would highly recommend Corner Beech House to anyone looking for a peaceful, restorative break away - one of the best B&Bs we have stayed at!
Amble House is the perfect spot for a stay in the Lake District. Located in Keswick, it's just 3km from Derwentwater and 17km from Buttermere, with free WiFi available. The B&B is only a 3-4 minute walk from the town centre and the market days (Thursdays and Saturdays) are a great chance to explore the shops and restaurants. The room is a nice size and offers plenty of tea and coffee, plus a TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Freeview. There's also delicious homemade vegan chocolate biscuits in the room. The breakfast is full of choice with cereals, fruit, toast, pancakes and vegan and vegetarian options. Plus, the hosts Jacqui and Graham are lovely, friendly and accommodating people who make sure you feel welcome and valued. Vicky and Alan, and my partner and I have both stayed at Amble House and highly recommend it for a wonderful Lake District stay.
