Park Farm is a 4 star hotel set in over 200 acres of landscaped gardens and green fields, 5 miles south of Norwich city centre. All the individually decorated rooms have views of the gardens and feature free parking, a bar and restaurant, and a leisure club. Breakfast options were unfortunately limited for those with special dietary requirements and dinner, while good, was expensive for a 4 star hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms were spacious, some even had balconies. We stayed here for our anniversary and made the most of the lovely grounds and amenities. Park Farm is a great option for a romantic weekend away or for those looking for a peaceful getaway.

The staff are attentive and helpful and the breakfast is plentiful. However, the rooms are a bit worn down and small, and the bed and bed settee are uncomfortable. The bathroom is tiny and the shower takes a while to warm up. Towel rail over the toilet is an unnecessary addition. Breakfast is expensive for just cereal. The security door is often open or ajar, making it difficult to feel secure. Despite these issues, the hotel provides a good base for exploring Norwich.

Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is a unique blend of Elizabethan and Victorian styles set in 150 acres of lush wooded parkland. Featuring an 18-hole USA PGA championship golf course, a driving range, footgolf course, indoor swimming pool and spa, as well as high tea, the hotel provides something for everyone. The afternoon tea was lovely, however the scones were a little hard. Room service is available with a service charge, however breakfast was disappointing as it arrived without eggs. Furthermore, the cot requested was not available and the baby's bathwater was yellow. Staff in the breakfast area were friendly and helpful, however the air conditioning was too cold. This hotel is not quite up to the standard of luxury it markets itself as, however it is perfect for a weekend getaway.

Sprowston Manor Hotel, Golf & Country Club

This historic house 3.5 miles from central Norwich offers the perfect retreat with its golf course, spa and pool. But be warned, some of the rooms are far from luxurious. Our room was dirty, with scuffed paint and a wobbly headboard. The furniture was budget and the finer details, such as tea and coffee, were inadequate. The bathroom had holes in the walls, no extractor fan and used soaps in the room. We were moved to a higher standard room in the afternoon, but the facilities in the hotel were unclean and the staff were unhelpful. If you’re looking for a luxurious stay, this is not the place for you. Instead, pay a little more and go elsewhere for a better experience.
