The room was also very quiet, despite being a full house during our stay. Breakfasts were outstanding, prepared by the talented chef Peter, with a range of options from a traditional Full English to something more adventurous. Karen and Peter are wonderful hosts, giving all their guests time and advice on the best places to visit in the area. You can even take a short walk to the sands, promenade and town. We would highly recommend Corner Beech House to anyone looking for a peaceful, restorative break away - one of the best B&Bs we have stayed at!

Crookabeck B&B is a wonderfully cozy and comfortable accommodation with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Located in Patterdale, just 22 km from Askham Hall, it offers a Full English/Irish or vegetarian breakfast, free WiFi, and free private parking. Our stay here was nothing short of amazing. We were able to take short hikes to Ullswater Lake and Place Fell, with breathtaking views of the area. In the evening, we could enjoy a meal at the White Lion pub, or head to the nearby Glenridding Village for more food and shopping options. The host, Adam, was very welcoming and considerate, and his parents Mary and Bennie were very friendly and knowledgeable about the farm's Herdwick, Mohair, and Red Fox sheep. Even when we arrived late at night due to an injury, the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed, and the breakfast was delicious. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a relaxing, scenic escape in the Lake District.
