The house is immaculately clean and tidy, with plenty of glasses, plates, mugs and cutlery, and the friendly Arriva bus service runs every half hour. Rose Cottage is the perfect getaway for two and a great base to explore the surrounding area, with Cineworld, Nandos and Harvester just a few minutes away, and the River Severn a short 15 minute walk. The host, Kerry, is very courteous and communicates promptly. You won’t be disappointed with your stay at Rose Cottage!

The Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel is a 4-star hotel located just 1 mile from Whitchurch. It features two 18-hole golf courses, a leisure centre with a pool, gym and nail bar, and an on-site restaurant. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a separate bath and shower. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making the arrival special with petals on the bed, a bottle of prosecco, and a card for us. The evening meal was good and the views were pleasing. In the morning, the breakfast was hot and served in a timely manner. We had a great stay overall, despite one slight disappointment with the 'Eton Mess' pudding. We look forward to returning in the future.

Our superior king size room had a comfortable zip link bed and a basic yet dated bathroom with a broken metal toilet roll holder. The hotel is known for its luxurious stays, though we had difficulty getting in touch with them and resolving our issues. If you're looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay in the countryside, the Mercure Shrewsbury Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa is a great option.
