Astwell Mill is a beautifully converted old mill situated in a peaceful location near Silverstone. Our room was comfortable, beautifully decorated and had a superb view of the Mill pond. Our hosts were welcoming and attentive, offering tea/coffee making facilities and access to the kitchen and dining room. The bed was the most comfortable one imaginable, complete with fluffy towels, toiletries and a powerful shower. At breakfast, you can enjoy a cooked meal or a selection of cereals, yoghurt and fruit. It is also lambing season, so we got to meet some of the lambs! An excellent location for Silverstone, Bicester and Stowe, Astwell Mill is the perfect place for a tranquil and comfortable stay.

Stone House is a beautiful family home situated in Sulgrave, 12 miles from Oxford. It is set in a picturesque village and is only a few miles away from Silverstone and the Silverstone park and ride. The house is filled with antiques and old-fashioned charm. The rooms are comfortable, and the bathroom is shared and needs a good clean. The breakfast was continental, but you can pay £7 for a full English. The hosts, Susie and John, were very welcoming and accommodating. They provided dinner for a small extra fee and it was fantastic. The booking cost £80 which was a good price considering the Moto GP at Silverstone. It is a great place to stay and relax, and I highly recommend it.

Our hostess Victoria was incredibly welcoming, providing prompt replies to our questions, a warm welcome on arrival, and timely checks to make sure everything was okay. You'll also find a selection of DVDs to watch after a long day of hiking, as well as a fridge/kitchenette stocked with wines, beers, breakfast cereals, coffee, teas and more. For breakfast, you can choose between a cooked or continental option, both of which are delicious. Whether you're hiking the Jurassic Way, attending a nearby wedding, or simply looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the perfect spot!
