The owners are friendly and accommodating and the house is pet friendly too! A truly remarkable place for a weekend break.

Embleton Hall & Spa is a family-run hotel offering comfortable apartments, suites and en-suite rooms. Located in a beautiful Lakeland setting, the hotel boasts its own swimming pool, steam room and gym. Our family of four recently stayed for two nights and had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. The hotel is pet-friendly and has old-world charm. Unfortunately, the spa area was not as accessible as expected, with communal showers and no robes provided. Our room was clean but the mattress was a bit uncomfortable. On the final day, the receptionist was very unhelpful and rude when we asked to use the pool, even though it was empty. All in all, it was a pleasant stay with friendly staff, but we were disappointed with the facilities not being as described on the website.

The White Company toiletries are a nice touch, as are the three mirrors in the room. Guests can enjoy a free breakfast and laundry service, as well as room service. The staff are friendly and helpful and the parking is great. The hotel is only a 15-minute walk from Penrith centre and is a perfect spot to explore the Lakes. While the spa facilities are pay-per-use and require an extra fee, the hotel is great value for money and offers a memorable experience!
