Our charming host, Gail, greeted us warmly at the door and made us a cup of tea on arrival. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, has a large lounge, and each room has its own private bathroom with hot shower, hairdryer and bathrobes. Gail and her husband Dave have paid attention to detail, offering a delicious breakfast selection with local recommendations, and lots of sweets and biscuits. The views from the breakfast tables are beautiful with sunsets over to John O Groats and the Orkneys. The Anchorage is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing break and explore the area.

Located in Wick and a short 8km from Sinclair's Bay, this B&B offers free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a beautiful garden and free private parking. Our hostess Louise was a remarkable hostess, making us feel warmly welcomed. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and had a beautiful en-suite bathroom with little touches that brought out the best in the property. You can also enjoy the pastoral scene of sheep and lambs, cattle and calf gracing the pastures, a picture out of a book. Louise also made sure that we had dinner appointment at a nearby restaurant, and served us lavishly furnished breakfast even if we were the only family in the B&B. An ideal location to get the ferry to the Orkneys, and of course John OGroats, we left Horseshoe Croft feeling well-rested, full and highly recommended!
