The Oaklodge is a charming bed and breakfast in the Nottinghamshire countryside, set in the village of Newark upon Trent. Our welcoming host, Jackie, greeted us with warmth and hospitality and showed us our room, which was spacious, comfortable, and homely. We were surprised with freshly baked cookies as a welcome treat. The continental breakfast provided was excellent, and Jackie was happy to provide additions if requested. Our room had its own kitchenette and shower bathroom, and the loft windows offered beautiful views of the night sky. For exploring the area, the location is perfect, with on-site parking, a pub within walking distance, and plenty of footpaths and fields for walks. We had a great stay at The Oaklodge and highly recommend it!
