The Smithy is a beautiful place to stay in Hay-on-Wye with stunning views over the valley. Our room was cosy and well stocked, with a private balcony, modern bathroom and complimentary toiletries. Each morning we were wowed by the breakfast selection, featuring fresh berries, juice, tea, cereals, yoghurt, and free-range eggs on walnut bread. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, providing maps of the countryside and a warm welcome. For a longer walk, try taking the rights of way to Cusop, then turn left onto Offa's Dyke path to the Black Mountains. We highly recommend The Smithy for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Wales.
