The Byre at Heartwood in Ticehurst offers a comfortable and luxurious stay, with all the necessary amenities such as free WiFi, private parking, a terrace and level access throughout. Our 88 year old great aunty found it perfect for her limited mobility and enjoyed the cosy atmosphere. Our host had provided a welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk, bacon, eggs and a freshly baked loaf of bread, as well as home made cupcakes. The bedding and towels were fresh and smelled divine, and the bed was very comfortable. The Byre is perfect for couples and is situated within the gates of the hosts own home, on the edge of Ticehurst. The owners went out of their way to ensure our stay was pleasant and even provided a recommendation for a nearby restaurant. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it!

Our host Jo is the perfect host, greeting us in person and making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The accommodation is spotless, with a large flat screen TV, small fridge stocked with fresh milk and soft drinks, a well-equipped bathroom and a King size bed. Jo serves a delicious breakfast in the lounge complete with cereals, yoghurts, tea and coffee and a cooked English fry-up. There are lots of little extra touches too; basket of mini toiletries each, regularly replenished biscuits/chocolates on the tea tray, fruit bowl and a daily treat. The annexe is a great base to explore Rye, Hastings and Camber Sands, and there are a number of lovely pubs in the surrounding villages. Barons Granary is a real gem and we would definitely recommend it and look forward to returning soon.
