Host Lisa was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure to adjust her arrangements to meet our check-in window. The lodge is beautifully laid out and very clean, with a comfortable, well-fitted double-bed bedroom, spacious lounge and fully equipped kitchen. To top it off, the kitchen is pre-stocked with pastries, bread, yogurts, milk, cereal, fruit and Lisa's homemade jam for a continental breakfast. The lodge is tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood, and Radyr village is only a 10 min walk away with a pub, Italian restaurant and mini-market. With the railway station nearby, it's only a 20 min journey to Cardiff. Parking is also included, making this the ideal place for a Cardiff getaway!

Ty Mynydd Lodge is an excellent place to stay, run by the most welcoming and helpful proprietor, Lisa. Located 7 km from Cardiff Castle and just a short drive to the Brecon Beacons, this lodge is the perfect spot for a getaway. Our room was spotless and very comfortable and came equipped with everything we needed. We were treated to hearty breakfasts each morning and Lisa's advice maximised our time and led us to beautiful walks. She greeted us with a friendly face and the building was stunning, making us feel like we were staying at a friend's home. On our last morning, Lisa even surprised me with a birthday card and chocolates! I couldn't recommend Ty Mynydd Lodge enough - excellent facilities, warm hospitality, and a beautiful location make it an unforgettable stay.
