18 miles from Barrow in Furness The Beech Hill Hotel is set in beautiful landscaped gardens, with an AA Rosette restaurant, a Spa centre with indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and outdoor spa pool, and some rooms boasting spa baths, four-poster beds or garden terraces. However, we had a terrible experience here and the Duty Manager was rude and unhelpful. The spa was unmanned, the door to the outside area had a locking mechanisms, and we were left in the cold without clothes for over an hour. The reception staff were unhelpful, the breakfast was poor and the rooms dated. We asked for a nicer room and were eventually moved, however, the radiator was boiling hot and the WiFi was rubbish. Poor quality bed linen was also provided. Not the service we would expect for the price.
