The White Hart Hotel is a 16th century former coaching inn located in the heart of Lewes. It has retained its old world charm while providing modern amenities. Unfortunately, our experience was not the best. The rooms were dated, dirty, and uncomfortable. The bed linen was creased, the carpets had crumbs, the curtains had a thick layer of dust, and the bathroom had holes in random places. The light fitting was missing bulbs, and the bathroom light became a strobe light. We asked for another room, but the hotel was fully booked. The manager agreed to a 20% refund. With a good renovation and clean, this hotel could be great, and it has a lot of character and history.
