The Lion Hotel & Restaurant is a great place to stay in the beautiful World Heritage site of Blaenavon. You can relax in their health suite with sauna, steam room and heated loungers, enjoy a meal in the restaurant or lounge with real log fires, and take advantage of the free WiFi. Breakfast is excellent, and the rooms are very clean and tidy with all the amenities you need. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - they even organised a taxi for us when we were stuck in Abergavenny. The evening meal is delicious and all locally sourced ingredients, and their selection of beers/ales and wines in the pub is fantastic. For nature lovers, there are lovely 7 mile walks up/round the Blorenege, and the hotel is conveniently close to amenities and walking areas. Parking is free, making it an ideal place to stay.
