Briar Brae Bed & Breakfast is a stunning spot on the sea front in Stranraer, with views over Loch Ryan. Our wonderful host welcomed us with a cup of tea on arrival and provided a picnic breakfast for those leaving early for the ferry. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and well-presented, with thoughtful touches. The breakfast room is bright and cheerful with incredible views of the Loch. It’s so peaceful and quiet, with lovely walks nearby. Stranraer harbour is a few minutes away and Cairnryan port is 10 mins away. We loved our stay here, and highly recommend it!

Fordbank House is a beautiful B&B situated in a stunning garden with views over the meadows towards the river. The house is spotless and rooms are very clean and comfortable. The hosts, Lesley and David, are very friendly and give great advice on the local area. Breakfast is excellent with a great choice and is cooked to perfection. They also have a lovely pet dog, Reuben, who is so sweet and friendly. The nearby town of Wigtown is just a mile away and has lots of bookshops and cafes. The location is perfect for exploring the Whithorn peninsula, the Glen Trool forest park, and the beautiful East coast to Kirkudbright. Fordbank House is the perfect place to stay for a comfortable and relaxing holiday.
