Ye Spotted Dogge is a charming 16th century hotel located in the heart of Portsmouth, just a short walk from Southsea Common Beach. The hotel offers a variety of non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a bar. Guests can enjoy the time portal atmosphere of the building and explore the history of the area. The room was a great size with everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and the mini-fridge was completely silent. Service from am to pm was flawless and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and freshly prepared, the bar was really cool, and the garden was gorgeous. For dinner, we travelled to Albert Road which was a short taxi ride away. Parking was easy as the hotel owner had reserved a space for us right outside the front door. It was worth every penny of the £200 per night and we would definitely stay here again.

Our lovely host, Jane, offers a warm welcome to her comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms. Enjoy your own private entrance, garden area, patio seating and free private parking. Our room was huge and included a large comfortable bed, a lounge suite and a fireplace. Facilities included complimentary tea and coffee. The delicious breakfast was made to order and included a variety of options. We also visited The Wealds & Downlands outdoor museum and the village of Wickham, with its variety of shops and restaurants. Jane and Paul were very helpful and accommodating, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We would highly recommend this property and would love to return.
