Our host, Peter, is a New Zealander who is friendly, attentive and witty, and is always ready to help. The double room we stayed in was decorated in a mixture of rustic and modern style with a supreme bed and an incredible bathroom. Breakfast is delicious with a plethora of options, including fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, and a cooked breakfast. The house is also a museum of local art and history. It's only a 5-minute walk to the city centre and attractions, with plenty of parking on site. The Gig House, right next to Kilmorie House, is also clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, with two bedrooms upstairs and a lounge that can be used as a bedroom downstairs. The courtyard outside the lounge/bedroom is perfect for soaking up some sun. Overall, it was an absolutely perfect stay at Kilmorie House and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Elgin or the surrounding area.
