Matlock House is a beautiful and recently refurbished guest house offering immaculate and tastefully designed accommodation located in Folkestone, just 5 km from the Folkestone Central Railway Station. Hosts Gill and Ross are the perfect hosts, always friendly and welcoming, providing delicious home-made cake and tea, and personal advice on what to see in the area. The room is spacious and clean, with a lovely view onto the garden, and a spacious bathroom with underfloor heating. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of choices and special requests taken into consideration. Last but not least, Gill and Ross are excellent hosts and make sure all their guests feel at home. Martin and Ale were so pleased they wished they could have stayed longer!

You also have the convenience of a reasonably priced pay and display car park nearby, as well as charging points for Electric Vehicles. This is a great spot for couples, families and solo travellers alike and we would highly recommend it for your stay in Hythe!

The breakfast and evening meals are great value for money. The bar is well-equipped and very cheap. Roy and Brian's attention to detail is excellent, and their staff are friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend the Plough Inn Ripple for those looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Deal.
