The Mill Hotel and Spa is located alongside the Shropshire Union Canal, 5 minutes’ walk from Chester Station, and is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing break. Enjoy 5 eateries, a leisure centre with a pool, spa and massage services, and comfortable rooms with a view of the canal. Our stay was comfortable, with a clean and tidy room, a hot and powerful shower and a delicious dinner. Breakfast was a little sparse, but the pool area was very clean and we even had a massage! The bar was a great place to relax and enjoy the evening, with plenty of sports on the TVs. All in all, a great stay and highly recommended.

Crowne Plaza Chester is a stunning hotel located in the historic city centre. It features an indoor heated pool, hot tub, modern gym and private parking available at an additional fee. The hotel is very clean, and the view from the restaurant is lovely. The rooms are clean and tidy, with a mini fridge included for your convenience. All staff are polite, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast offers a great range of options and the restaurant has a delicious two-course meal and large wine offer for two guests. There are also great facilities to enjoy, including the gym, pool and jacuzzi, which are all exceptionally clean. Shopping in the city centre and exploring the local bars and clubs, such as the Havana Bar with half-price cocktails on Tuesdays, will make for an unforgettable stay. Unfortunately, some guests have experienced a less than perfect welcome and other complaints. Be sure to book directly with the hotel to ensure a comfortable stay.

I have stayed at Grosvenor Pulford several times in the past few years and have recommended it to many people. However, my most recent visit was a disappointment. While the food in the pub and for breakfast was lovely, the room was small and the carpet patchy. The spa facilities were also limited due to Covid-19. Furthermore, I was surprised to find that the room we were given had no window, but instead looked into the hotel's indoor restaurant. We were eventually moved to a room with a window, but not before having to wait until past noon. I am not looking forward to my next visit in September, and I have suggested to my friends that we go elsewhere.
