However, there have been reports of the room being tired and the bathroom facilities not up to standard. There is also an additional charge to use the spa, and the restaurant staff have been known to forget orders. Furthermore, the hotel doesn't always live up to its cost, with reports of power outages, dry chicken and not enough cooked risotto. There have also been complaints of a lack of professionalism from the staff when it comes to providing an alternative to the pool and outdoor facilities due to bad weather. All in all, guests find Shrigley Hall Hotel inadequate for the price, and it fails to live up to expectations.

Enjoy an afternoon tea or dinner in the restaurant, but be prepared for dirty glasses and slow service. Breakfast in the restaurant is disappointing, with cold toast and rock hard butter. The price is high for what you get, and we had an awful stay due to lack of sleep due to loud noises and a generator. The reception did not offer us any help and we have yet to hear from the manager.
