Our stay was made even more special by the helpful and professional staff, who went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. We dined in Bertie’s both nights, and breakfast every morning, where the food was of very good quality. The grounds are also breathtaking, with peacocks roaming free, and stunning views of Snowdon and Liverpool. Although the spa wasn’t quite what we expected, the hotel still provided an unforgettable honeymoon. A perfect choice for those looking to experience a unique and historic castle stay.

Facilities at the spa were good, although it was found to be cold and unwelcoming, and the room had not been cleaned properly, with used tissues on the floor. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, with litter in the gardens and no drinks offered during the wait for a table.
