Embleton Spa Hotel is a family-run hotel offering a unique experience in a charming 18th-century Lakeland farmhouse. Enjoy the on-site facilities including a swimming pool, steam room, and gym, as well as en-suite rooms and apartments. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is excellent. Unfortunately, our experience on the last day was marred by the receptionist's attitude and lies about the availability of the pool. However, overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing time with their family.

The reception staff were very helpful throughout the booking process and were attentive when I phoned to let them know we may be checking in slightly later. The room was beautiful - the bed was very comfortable, the sheets were lovely, and the features such as the walk-in shower and radio were thoughtful touches. The breakfast was enjoyable - nothing was skimped on and we were able to build our own sandwiches. There is a laundry service, room service, and ample parking. With Penrith centre a 15-minute walk away, this is an ideal location to explore the Lakes. Plus, the extras like the cookie on arrival and children’s packs make the stay even more enjoyable. However, guests should bear in mind the extra charge for the spa facilities and that they can be a little underwhelming.
