The Crieff Hydro Hotel is surrounded by a 900-acre estate with Victorian spa, 9-hole par 3 golf course, and over 60 indoor and outdoor activities. The beautiful Strathearn Valley location is just an hour's drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Front reception staff were excellent, and breakfast is tasty with plenty of choice. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a great view. The bathroom was also spacious and clean with an excellent shower. At the hotel, you can find a lovely spa area with a jacuzzi and a swimming pool. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is still run by a family member of the founder and has not been sold off to a large chain, making it a great choice for your stay.

The Gleneagles Hotel, established in 1924, is a prestigious resort set within 850 acres of stunning Perthshire scenery. Boasting 3 championship golf courses, an ESPA spa and a falconry school, this historic landmark offers the perfect blend of luxury and outdoor activities. Our recent stay to celebrate our Ruby Wedding was made extra special thanks to the excellent communication with the hotel and a very welcoming foyer. Our room was clean and well appointed and we were pleasantly surprised to find a half bottle of champagne in the room. The dining experience in each of the restaurants was incredibly different and very much held the values of the hotel. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and able to enjoy many outdoor activities. The staff were wonderful, particularly those in the coffee room, check-in and restaurant, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Gleneagles is perfect for couples, families and pets looking for a memorable stay in Scotland.
