The Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel is a great 4-star option for a relaxing stay. Just 1 mile from Whitchurch, it offers two 18-hole golf courses, a leisure centre with pool, gym and a nail bar, and a restaurant. Our recent one night stay was made extra special by the staff, with petals on the bed, a bottle of Prosecco, and a card for the both of us. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had both a bath and a shower. The evening meal was good, with a decent choice on the menu. The only issue we had was the ‘Eton Mess’ pudding, which was not as expected. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we would definitely stay here again.

The 4-star Mercure Telford Centre Hotel offers a convenient and comfortable stay. Perfectly situated in the heart of Shropshire and the foot of the Wrekin, it's ideal for exploring the area. The hotel was full and unfortunately there were some issues with water, but quick resolution and the excellent staff soon made up for it. The breakfast service was outstanding and rooms were clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The pool was basic but pleasant, and the hotel is in a great location, close to the town centre and major roads. Burger King, KFC and Costa are also nearby. Despite the issues, the hotel is definitely worth a visit and would be a great choice for both business and leisure guests.
