Located on the waterfront and overlooking the canal's marina, it offers comfortable rooms with free private parking. Facilities include a restaurant, bar, garden with terrace, and a fitness and wellness centre with a sauna, hot tub, steam bath, and indoor swimming pool. Breakfast, dinner and take away options are also available. Unfortunately, some previous guests had a negative experience with the breakfast and dinner options, as well as the room decor. Parking is unfortunately operated by Parking Eye. Despite this, many guests have had a positive experience, enjoying the great location, room facilities, and warm helpful staff. It's a great place for a getaway for couples and families.

It is also just 11 miles from Birmingham International Airport. With well-equipped rooms, free shower gels and body wash, and staff that are welcoming and helpful, the hotel is perfect for a weekend break. However, the hotel does house migrants, though there is a 24/7 security presence to ensure the safety of guests, and the breakfast could be improved as it's lacking in taste. All in all, the hotel is great value for money and in a great location.

The rooms include complimentary membership to the Fairlawns Gym, and the staff are exceptional, accommodating to every need and making sure you feel included. The SPA and gym facilities are superb, and the treatments heavenly. The manager and staff provide excellent customer service, making you feel like you're at home. The superior double room we booked was excellent with double aspect, decor and furnishings, and a spacious bathroom. The cooked breakfast was great and the swimming pool is available to use for free, as long as a slot is available. Fairlawns is the perfect place to feel welcomed and included.

Despite being promised a room with a bath due to accessibility issues, the first room was run down and had cobwebs. The second room was similarly dated and different to the description provided online. After a long process, the manager upgraded the room, which was better, but still slightly outdated. The grounds were well kept and there was ample parking, but the breakfast was poor for a 4-star hotel. The reception staff were pleasant at check-in, but there were a few steps near reception which could be difficult for people with mobility issues. The WiFi was not great, and the store cupboard was often open making noise. Despite these issues, it is a good option for a quiet stay in the Midlands.
