We had access to the kitchen and lounge area and felt right at home. Our room was clean and comfy, with a flat-screen TV and plenty of storage. We were within walking distance to the centre of Galashiels and had a short stroll to the park and swimming pool. Dalvy provided us with a delicious continental breakfast and snacks to send us on our way. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this homestay!

Broomfield Country House is a beautiful property situated in peaceful countryside, just outside Melrose. Our warm welcome included a cup of tea and delicious shortbread, with the hosts Martin and Lorna always happy to help out with advice on things to do locally. Our extra large double bed was comfortable and the en-suite was excellent. The breakfast was a highlight, with a healthy option and warm croissants. The garden was delightful and the sitting room with a log fire was the perfect place to relax and read. We had a wonderful meal of high quality at the Townhouse in Melrose thanks to Martin's help. It was a great experience, we arrived as strangers but left as friends. A perfect place to explore the Border Abbeys.
