The Barn @ The Coach House is the perfect place to stay in Melrose. Set in its own extensive grounds, it offers a warm welcome from Claire and Donald, the friendly, engaging hosts. The accommodation is modern, tastefully decorated and spotless, with a fridge and a selection of toiletries, tea and coffee. Breakfast is superb, with Claire's homemade granola, Greek yoghurt and berries to start, followed by Donald's cook-to-order breakfast. The Barn is just a pleasant 20 minute walk from the centre of Melrose, and Claire and Donald are happy to suggest local restaurants for dinner. Highly recommended for a truly enjoyable stay!

Broomfields Country House is the perfect place to stay and explore the Borders Abbeys. The hosts, Martin and Lorna, are incredibly welcoming and make you feel right at home. The home is situated in peaceful countryside near Melrose, with a beautiful garden and view of the hills. Our large double bedroom was clean and comfortable, and the en-suite was almost just right. We were welcomed with tea and shortbread and enjoyed a delicious breakfast with warm croissants and a berry smoothie. The sitting-room, with log fire, was a pleasant place to relax. Martin was an excellent host and happily got us a table at the Townhouse in Melrose for dinner. Highly recommend this BnB for anyone travelling in the Borders.
