This 19th Century hotel is situated in Harrogate, just a few minutes walk from Betty’s Tea Rooms. Set in expansive gardens overlooking the town, this hotel is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing getaway. The room was comfortable with a fan blowing already, however there were several yellow/orange/brown stains near one corner of the carpet. The parking was poor with a £10 fee and the check in was slow with only 2 staff on. There was no complimentary water bottles and no ironing/dry cleaning service. The courtyard bar was disappointing with a 25 minute wait for drinks and numerous people leaving without a drink after waiting over 20 minutes. The buffet breakfast had no sanitiser available and the 2 hour swim slot cost an additional £30 each. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel and had a better stay at cheaper hotels such as the Village brand.
