Middlethorpe Hall & Spa offers award-winning food, boutique spa and gorgeous gardens, all with scenic views of York Racecourse, just 2 miles away. Our room was cosy, with blackout curtains to ensure a restful sleep, and a full-length mirror and light in the wardrobe. The bathroom was well-equipped with toiletries, towels and robes. It was a pleasure to have a pod espresso/coffee machine in the room, and the porter was very helpful with extra supplies. The gardens were amazing, with birds and wildlife attracted to the flowers and fruit trees, and our courtyard room looked out onto the beautiful flowers. The hotel and spa were both very clean and tidy, and there was a bag of PPE in the room. The Spa was relaxing and quiet, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our light lunch was forgotten but they didn’t charge us, and they booked us a taxi into York. Lastly, they sent us a bottle of fizz to celebrate our baby! Highly recommend - a perfect balance of elegance and comfort.
