Macdonald Inchyra Hotel & Spa is a traditional Scottish manor house situated in landscaped gardens on the outskirts of Falkirk and Grangemouth. Just off Junction 5 of the M9 motorway, it features a spa and a restaurant. Our double room was very tired looking, but it was clean with a comfy bed. The pool and restaurant/bar area are very nice, but the service is slow. In summer, bring your own fan as windows don’t open and there are no fans available. There is the occasional whiff of the nearby oil refinery. It is a three star hotel that needs to be refurbished to bring it up to the 21st century.
