The hotel room is comfortable, breakfasts are delicious, and the one evening meal we ate at the hotel was exceptionally good. With car parking available and a suggested itinerary provided, Hodgkinsons provides a safe, enjoyable and memorable stay. We highly recommend it and would certainly stay here again.

Our four-poster bed, over 200 years old, was incredibly comfortable and the triple glazing means that traffic noise won't disturb your sleep. The bathroom is luxurious with a separate shower and bath, and is provided with nice touches like fresh milk and water, tea and coffee facilities, and biscuits. Breakfast was delicious and Graham's full English is not to be missed! Yvonne is an amazing host who has fantastic knowledge of the local area and can recommend wonderful walking trails and quaint villages to explore. We had an unforgettable stay at Slayleigh and can't wait to return!

Ziz was also helpful in recommending places to eat in the evening and giving ideas for walks or days out. The location is perfect for heading into the Peak District and walking distance to the bars and restaurants in Matlock. Enjoy an amazing breakfast with plenty of choice, clean and comfortable rooms, and a very helpful host. Plus, there is an electric car charge point available at the property. A wonderful stay - we'll be back!
