St Mellion Estate offers four-star accommodation in Cornwall, surrounded by 450 acres of countryside. Guests can enjoy the use of its leisure facilities, championship golf courses and Brasserie. Our two-bedroom self-catering cottage was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with excellent views from the windows. The grounds were well-maintained and parking was no issue. The beds were comfortable, and the main bed was particularly large. The gym is well-equipped, with lovely views of the golf course, and the 25-meter pool was clean and well-staffed. Showers were hot and private. The restaurant offers a three-course meal for £28 and the food was amazing. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make the evening a great experience. Breakfast has a large selection to choose from, and the chef was happy to make us porridge. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi are a good size, and the showers in the changing rooms are great.

It's the perfect place to relax and unwind, with a leisure centre boasting a 20m infinity pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, tennis courts, and mini golf. However, the service here is unfortunately lacking in quality. There is no signage or lighting to the main reception and the staff can be unaccommodating. Breakfast costs are extortionate and the quality of food is basic. The leisure staff are rude and unhelpful, and the cleaning staff can be disruptive. The grounds and garden furniture are outdated and tatty, thus not reflecting the cost of staying here. We recommend looking elsewhere for a superior quality experience.
