Merchants Manor is a hotel with views across Falmouth Bay with a modern leisure club, indoor heated pool, Linen Room Spa and award-winning restaurant Rastella. The spacious rooms feature satellite TV and free WiFi, set in sub-tropical gardens. Unfortunately, staff continually get things wrong and the overall experience is not of a five-star or four-star standard. Service is slow and there are few small touches that make a difference. The electric car charger does not work and the hotel does not replenish toilet roll in the rooms. In addition, a bottle of Prosecco sent to us as a gift was charged on our bill. If you are looking for high quality hotels, Merchants Manor is not the place for you.

The staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating, providing a free room upgrade and extending our stay with no hassle. The food is top quality and the breakfast is included with the room booking. The pool is lovely and the hot tub is outside with a stunning view. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is close to Helford village and Trebah Gardens. Highly recommend for its value and charm!

Despite the friendly welcome from staff, the accommodation didn't live up to expectations for the price. The room was basic and the breakfast was cold and lacking in variety. The pool was under renovation and the spa was expensive. Unfortunately, this was not the enjoyable holiday experience we had hoped for.
