Champneys is an exclusive spa hotel set in the beautiful South Downs of Hampshire. It offers world-class therapists, luxury treatments, and an innovative restaurant. But sadly, the service levels were lacking during our stay. From reception to cleaners to chefs, staff were not properly trained and the weekend was a let-down. We had a better time at home. Other guests have had wonderful stays, with the staff being especially attentive and helpful. The swimming pool was great, and the food was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the room was dated and there were some issues with housekeeping. The location is stunning, but not enough staff on duty and basic amenities were lacking. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our stay, and would not recommend Champneys.

The hotel also follows rigorous Covid-19 procedures, with hand sanitiser stations throughout and track and trace details are taken if guests choose to provide them. Norton Park Hotel is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.

The rooms are of a standard quality, but the bar service, restaurant food, and housekeeping standards are sub-par. Breakfast is served from 7:00-9:00am and the queue is often long with very few staff to help. Reception staff are rarely present and telephones are never answered. This hotel is definitely not 4 star and the management is failing to provide a satisfactory level of service.
