Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa is a charming country house hotel nestled in the beautiful Surrey Hills. Guests can enjoy the restaurant, spa and swimming pool as well as the perfect base for exploring the area. Our room was bright, clean and spacious and the treatments in the spa were great. The spa does show signs of wear and tear but for the price it is a good facility. The food was excellent for breakfast and dinner and the chef was able to make a full English breakfast but was unable to make a smoked salmon bagel due to the limited cooking facilities. Unfortunately, the spa was closed for a full day of our stay with no compensation offered. The staff at breakfast were inattentive and on one morning the waitress was looking at her phone instead of attending to us. For the New Years Eve Gatsby Evening, the room was lovely and the event was enjoyable, however the spa facilities were disappointing with the pool cold, sauna out of order and shower heads not working. All in all, Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa offers a great stay with excellent food and a charming country setting, but the spa and leisure facilities lack in quality.
