Eastwell Manor Hotel is an impressive building situated in the beautiful countryside. It has two restaurants, a bar, a gym and a spa, featuring a range of treatments. Unfortunately, the staff are not always helpful and the facilities need a good clean. Our room was quaint and the view was gorgeous, but we had a poor nights sleep due to the uncomfortable beds. The spa facilities should be available all day, not just in the evening, and they are expensive. The gym is good, with wipes provided, but everything else needs updating. If you're looking for a luxurious stay, this is not the place for you.

The Ashford International Hotel is just minutes from the M20 and the Eurostar connection. It features modern, flat-screen TVs in all rooms, a restaurant, pool, hot tub and other amenities. Unfortunately, all rooms have been reported to be extremely hot and air conditioning does not work. Furthermore, the windows can only be opened 10 cm, and duty manager said they cannot be opened further due to security reasons. Room service was over-priced and of poor quality. All in all, it is not a pleasant or comfortable experience and not worth the price.

Facilities are good on paper, but all a bit tired, with no air conditioning in the rooms and windows that open only a crack for safety. Enjoy a drink from the bar outside, overlooking the beautiful grounds and listen to the resident peacocks. Rooms are clean and come with toiletries, iron/ironing board, TV, safe, hairdryer, kettle and more. Breakfast is a buffet with individually wrapped croissants, pain au chocolate, bread and cereals, plus hot options cooked to order. A fitness centre and pool are available, though the pool area is dark and in need of repair. Despite these points, we regret to hear of a disappointing stay with cobwebs in the room, a smelly hallway, and the lady at reception being rude and abrupt. We take cleanliness and customer service very seriously and apologise for not meeting your expectations.
